Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, is set to appear before a closed-door congressional committee today

Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, is expected to use a constitutional right known as the Fifth Amendment to refuse to answer questions about Epstein

Instead, Maxwell will read a prepared statement at the outset, Democrat committee member Ro Khanna says

The hearing comes after Epstein survivors called for the full disclosure of files held by the Department of Justice following the release of more than three million documents on 30 January

You mean the same Ghislaine who got transferred to a nicer prison after a meeting with Trump’s lawyer and then making the statement that “Trump was a gentleman”?

I just felt like we had to remind people of this every time she is being brought to testify about anything.

Why should she answer questions? She’s in minimum security with work release, because she’s protecting the people who sprung her from a different prison. She knows on which side her bread is buttered.

What does she have to gain? NOTHING

What does she have to lose? EVERYTHING.

She worked so hard to be HERE.

Even worse: her lawyer is already told the committee that she is going to plead the fifth to every question.

I would’ve thought the fifth wouldn’t apply as she was already convicted of that stuff.

The thing about double jeopardy is that it only counts for the single unique act of breaking the law (or however many counts you’re convinced of).

This means that if she admits to any additional crimes that she wasn’t convicted for, she can be charged.

Maybe this is her deal to stay alive and maybe/probably get a pardon?

It seems like we’re mob ruled. Organized crime leading the Whitehouse and all our 3-letter agencies. Maybe this is how it’s always been and trump is just making it more visible. Idk maybe not, but it’s hard not to conspiracy theorize with all this.

I think Trump pardoning Maxwell, will def split MAGA base. It might be just 5%-8% of the 30% diehards left. But Trump needs everyone of that percent.

Unfortunately I think we’re way too deep in the propaganda machine for this logic to work. That diehard base will simply not know she’s pardoned because Fox News will pretend it didn’t happen.

And if they’re ever confronted about it they’ll do mental gymnastics to get out of any shattering of their twisted reality.

Na, that’s way too quick. Rape then flay her a bit first. There are a lot of dead, raped, and eaten children due to her. She needs to get a little bit of the same before we send her off
