It basically doesn’t matter if she resigns or not. Whoever takes her place will be decided by Trump who will just want someone who will cover up the worst of the Epstein files, run cover to ICE misconduct, and never prosecute those who bribe Trump. Whether it’s Bondi or not barely matters.
Nominees for the job require Senate approval, so technically they could try to make Trump put up someone good. Bondi was nominated when it turned out the Senate wasn’t likely to approve Trump’s first pick, Matt Gaetz.
(Those are three different Trump “appointee” “acting US Attorneys” that the Senate never confirmed and who served illegally: Alina Habba, John Sarcone, and Bill Essayli. At this point I assume there are more, and I just can’t keep up.)
