Federal immigration authorities from the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are set to be deployed around Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California, ahead of the championship game on 8 February 2026.
According to FOX News, officials have confirmed that ICE agents will be a visible presence in and around Levi’s Stadium, where the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will compete.
I would think the only undocumented immigrants you’d find at the Super Bowl would be the Elon Musk-types.
He thinks it’ll be a “show of force” and that people not liking ICE will somehow translate to people liking ICE?
Like, it’s fucking ICE, if there’s squads of them running around the super bowl, they’re gonna escalate to violence all over the place.
Having to pause the Super Bowl because ICE is beating wealthy Americans who can afford SB tickets is not gonna be a “win” with anyone for ICE.
It’s going to make it completely unavoidable. I mean, there’s a good chance they’d have to call/postpone the game. If ICE kills someone in the stands, are they just gonna keep playing?
Look at the chaos they cause in an empty street, in a packed stadium it’s gonna be a million times worse.
That’s what they want; an excuse to impose full martial law.
What excuse do they need? They could just do it now if they want. Killing random civilians isn’t going to give them the popular support to maintain martial law. They’re fucked in that regard either way.
Or concessions workers.
The food service staff all go through e-verify, so the government already stated they are authorized to work.
ICE won’t care.
