Users are walking away from ChatGPT and calling it a political statement

    We can’t vote with anything but our wallets here, so this is a thing we can do to set least reduce their income. And considering they’re losing close to $100 million every day already, I can’t help but suspect nickel and diming them a bit still hurts.

      It’s the kind of shit that can work long run. It worked against some AAA studios. I remember people saying that would never make a difference, but the sales numbers paint another story.

      It just takes time to gain momentum.

      Voting with our wallets is unfortunately not a great strategy, as most of these companies have realized that they don’t need to bother selling us things anymore. But it can be one of a toolbox… because it works sometimes. We do have other options, including shouting criticism from the rooftops, demonizing the CEOs behind this, and perhaps even voting at ballots.
