Just last week, though, Durbin voted to confirm two of Trump’s nominees, David Clay Fowlkes and Aaron Peterson, to serve as life-tenured federal judges. And he’s not the only one: During Trump’s second term, 19 Democrats have voted to confirm at least one of Trump’s nominees. New Hampshire Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen have voted to confirm six and seven nominees, respectively, and Rhode Island senator Sheldon Whitehouse, who sits on the Judiciary Committee, has voted for five. Among Senate Democrats, Durbin and Virginia Senator Tim Kaine are tied for the lead in this ignominious category with eight yes votes apiece.

If there are not enough judges, do you think the government will stop arresting people? No, the judicial system will just grind to a halt which will make it even easier for Trump to break the law.

I don’t see how appointing judges who’ll rule that Trump didn’t break the law helps anything.

They do other things besides just rule on Trump. There are a lot of crimes and lawsuits that need judges. Without that the whole justice system collapses.

Besides that, quite a few of these judged have decided against Trump. Just last Wednesday a Trump appointed judge blocked an attempt from Trump to get Michigan’s voter rolls. Once they have their sweet lifetime appointments, a Trump has nothing to offer them.
