As a teen, I once stood up way too fast in a church after sitting down for a LONG time and the resulting lack of oxygen to the brain caused me to go fully unconscious, falling and whacking my head against the altar on the way down.
When I came to in an ambulance, I was very confused and had a cool-looking abrasion on my chin, but otherwise fine.
Once they’d determined that there was no concussion or other lasting damage, I was gleeful to find out that I’d turned the cross on the altar upside down while falling, edgelord teen atheist going to church against my will as I was 😁
Correct. I’ve never told it out loud in her presence (it happened almost 30 years ago and she and Emily turn 10 on Sunday) , so it would be literally impossible for her to be tired of hearing it 😁
I actually know that better than most people!
