The DOJ admitted in a recent court filing that it had violated over 50 court orders in immigration cases -- and that stunning figure was just since Dec. 5 and only included cases in New Jersey.
The judges aren’t even holding these assholes in contempt for repeatedly violating court orders. If lawyers are held in contempt they can be disbarred which can destroy their careers, arguably even more of a deterrent than a short time in a cell.
This keeps happening because these judges are refusing to use the tools they have to uphold their rulings and the law. If there is no enforcement there is no law.
