A judge delayed the hearing to later next month and agreed with her attorney, Emily Howe, to specify the woman does not have to appear in person — a relief as they worried immigration officers would be waiting at the courthouse to take her away.

Why aren’t more judges doing this?

This is basically a rogue government.

It’s not like the Democrats didn’t warn people, it’s just that so many didn’t want to listen.

I mean, the us knowingly and willfully handed this fucker everything. None of what is happening was a secret, literally written down in a plan that we all could see.

America decided that a felon, admitted sexual predator, and a the most prolific liar to ever hold office was a better choice to lead us. I’d say we go exactly what we asked for.

Criminal, that fits, evil, that too, disastrous, for sure, but I can’t call them rogue when this is precisely what we apparently wanted (we tried to warn them).

Well, I guess “we” voted for this, but I sure as fuck did not. Whole lot of normie types and reactionary centrists acted like we were a bunch of Cassandras when we told them about Project 2025.

I had conversations IRL where these types said things like “yeah, I heard about that. but isn’t Project 2025 just a conspiracy theory from the Democrats”?

Sigh. Also, I know several people that are very much the types that are going to be the most at-risk after immigrants, if not already, and they chose not to vote, vote third party, or at least in one case, for the pedophile-in-chief because “the Democrats are no better on my pet issue”. JFC.

What I found so exhausting was a whole lot of self-righteous people online that seemed to be doing everything possible to push away lots of groups, wholesale, especially during the Biden years. Playing these intersectionality politics and Oppression Olympics and demanding white men take a back seat. That people should all be made to read rather fringe texts and until they did, they should be marginalized and ignored. And that was what they were saying about allies.

People like me would get shouted down/banhammered if we piped up and said that’s no way to win elections and they are just doing things designed to create more Republicans. The message seemed to be that unless the movement was made up of perfectly ideological people with the right checkboxes, and unless the Democrats offered them the perfectly crafted messaging on certain key issues, then it was if Americans deserved whatever the worst thing Republicans could dream up.

It was just so crazy. I’m still baffled by it. Most of these types seem to have disappeared. I’m sure many might have been bots/paid trolls, but the ones that weren’t? What the actual fuck. Also, I still know a few of these IRL and I can barely even look at them now.

Guess all of us will get plenty of time to “check our privilege” under this stupid administration.

This is fascism. Stop using fancy words. Call it what it is. The United States is in a fascist take over. They’re running concentration camps, arming a private military they can let loose wherever they want, ignoring laws and shooting citizens in the streets. It is a fascist takeover and Americans are sitting around tweeting about and just hoping they get an election to vote in. Spoiler: they don’t. Not without a fight.

A whole lot of people thought they knew better and so did some nine-dimensional chess to maneuver themselves right into voting third party or sitting out or whatever, too.
