Best movie, or best WW2 movie? Which is a better representation of the war? The experiences of the soldiers? Which has better art direction and writing and acting? Which one is a better reflection of the current zeitgeist?
I don’t have answers, I just feel like “better” has a lot of dimensions.
The Thin Red Line is an amazing film.
The best (as in, most realistic) world war 2 movie is Come And See.
It shows the war from the side that most suffered from it, the Russian population.
80% of the war happened inside Russia.Haven’t seen this but have heard this title for decades. One day, I’ll have the strength to take this film on.
I think that When The Trumpets Fade is a better WW2 movie.
