But comparing small-scale covert action to large-scale military deployment is apples-to-oranges. I also think one of the few good things about Donald is his reticence to resort to large-scale military deployments, and I wish Obama and Biden had been that way too.

Problem with your logic is he actually did draw down protracted wars in his first term.
He surrendered in Afghanistan.
