Why is Iran attacking Dubai and Kuwait?

I know things are unfolding quickly, but I’ve seen reports of attacks on the Dubai and Kuwait airports. In both cases reports are attributing it to Iran doing it in response to the US/Isreali attacks, but none seem to say why?

So why is Iran targeting them and not the US or Israel? I’m having trouble making it make sense.

My completely uneducated guess would be, to make it harder for the US to get equipment into the area.
