These claims don’t arise from nowhere: you are believing the story of a faction you admit is lying, when they claim the other side is lying. What you’re doing is the equivalent of saying “Israel is committing genocide, and Hamas beheaded 40 babies and wants to kill every Jew is the world. Both sides are lying, why is this so hard for you to understand?”
You are presenting yourself as an impartial observer, but you’re explicitly lending credence to the propaganda of one side: the side that has lied for centuries, which also just so happens to be the side you grew up in.
When Ukraine loses the war soon, you will find that the state and people will remain very much un-genocided by the Russian Federation, but instead immiserated by the regime of austerity and privatization forced on them by their western “benefactors”.
