Most people don’t have any gripes with using iCloud or other cloud storage systems though. It’s mostly “privacy focused” techies that care. So not the target market for this product at all
Maybe, and there is some benefit for adding an off site backup that would be beneficial, but the cost added up quickly. Each year they would have sent apple an extra $120 or so if they chose the wrong one because their plans conveniently jump from 200GB to 2TB.
