Senior officials in Kyiv are taking a swipe at the head of German defense giant Rheinmetall, whose unflattering comments about Ukrainian drone technology and the role of women in the war against Russia ignited a social media backlash.
Yeah the problem isn’t the drone, you have to detect and track the helo and have pilots ready to launch in the very limited time that helo is close enough to them. It doesn’t happen very often, they fly close to the ground and rarely come closer than 6-8km to the frontline, plus you gotta account for the time it takes to get an FPV itself there, plus have enough skill to hit it.
That new airbus thingamajig with longer range missiles would be pretty sweet for this job though
Yeah would have to get really lucky or know where to be cuz the flight times on the drones are only a few minutes, especially if you’re going full throttle at high altitudes.
