I have a little fishing boat (2 person, 15hp motor). In the early mornings it’s all fisherman who quickly and efficiently use the ramp and get clear. Around 11am the jetski’s/speedboats show up and the fisherman go home. For about an hour the dock is really busy.

I have been stuck waiting for a guy who had a brand new $100K boat try and fail to launch it. I dropped anchor, grabbed some snacks, and laughed my ass off for 45 minutes. He finally gave up and left. By the time he left we had a crowd of around 10 fishing boats all cheering and laughing.

I love watching people reverse a trailer who don’t know how. They get themselves in quite the pickle and have to reset so many times. Boggles my mind how some people are spatially inept.

Its a skill you have to learn with practice. Once you get it, it’s relatively easy to do.

If it was some teenagers or early 20’s, I would have hopped out and talked then through it. Done that a few times.

However this was a 100K boat being towed by a jacked up pavement princess of a 3/4 ton truck driven by a guy who had to be in his 40’s. So it was absolutely hilarious.

Thing is, he still could’ve asked (nicely) and I guarantee somebody would’ve helped him unless he was being an ass the whole time.
