PTSD can very easily turn into schizophrenia (I’ve seen it happen), and psychadelics are known to be one of the leading causes of schizophrenia. So I’m sure it has potential but I feel like there should be a less risky solution or at least more things to try first.

Sounds like youre talking about HPPD which can be triggered by psychedelics OR modern medicines like SSRIs
A lot of the bad stuff that can happen with psychedelics also happens with pharma meds of the same ilk
