I thought the film was longer and went for a bathroom break. The credits were rolling when I came back. Can anybody fill me in on what happens at the end?

Not quite sure where you left off exactly, Miles sent himself back to his reality using the Spider complex computer system. Miguel sent Gwen back to hers. Miles started telling his Mom he’s Spiderman, Gwen reconciles with her dad and got a new gizmo from Hobie (fight the system bruv), Miguel sent the Spiders to find Miles in his universe, it’s revealed that the Spider System didn’t actually send Miles to HIS universe, but to his spider’s universe Earth-42, because his mom has no idea who Spiderman is, and everybody else on Miles’ Earth can’t find him there.
Miles finds Earth-42’s uncle Aaron, who brings Miles along for a crime-job (thinking Spider-Miles is 42-Miles), Miles gets knocked unconscious, wakes up tied to punching bag (callback to Peter B.) “Hey Uncle Aaron I know there’s good in you, you don’t want to be the Prowler” “I’m not” 42-Miles comes out of the corner wearing the Prowler outfit Spider-Miles: “Hey can you help save my dad?” 42-Miles: “Now why would I do that?”
Gwen assembles the Spider-rebels (Into the Spiderverse gang: Peter B, John Mulaney, Penni, Spider Noir, as well as Hobie and Pavitr from Across the Spiderverse) and the movie ends there with a To Be Continued
EDIT: Gwen’s dad also quite the police force, so he is no longer a Police Captain destined to die in her canon

I didn’t know that they were going to end the movie on a cliffhanger to be continued. I would have made the same mistake, thought things were still ramping up to a climax. Great movie still and can’t wait for the next one!
