I found out a couple years ago then I have no measles immunity. I’m not vaccinated because my mother never had had me get vaccinated when I was a child (I’m 56yo now.) She lied on my school records and made up random dates off the top of her head filling out school paperwork. Nobody cared back in the 1970’s and 80’s and we moved a lot.

To get the measles vaccination now will cost over $100, my insurance won’t pay for it. I hope that I can come up with the money at some point and pay for it there is always something else that I need to spend that money on.

Uh, bro… not only is a measles vaccine more necessary than most of the shit you have, I guarantee you can get it covered by insurance as a “preventative measure”. Vaccines are free.

You do not want the measles. Not only has it killed millions of people, it can put you in the hospital which is much more expensive than a shot. You can lose your job and a ton of money.

This is possibly more important than car insurance or groceries. You can bum some groceries from the food pantry or from your friends. You can’t get this immunity anywhere else.

It’s worse than that. Measles resets your immune system.

So not only are they going to get sick at 56yo, but all that built up immune memory will be gone. You don’t want to be going into that at that age.
