  • Yep, and I wager the steam machine is probably going to be, at minimum, 50% more expensive than valve planned it to be, which more than likely will kill it on arrival as far as price/performance goes.

Will there be die hards who buy it no matter the price? yeah… but i wager it’ll see a fraction of sales that the deck did, due to ram and storage price bullshit thanks to AI fucking everything up.

  • People don’t like being proven wrong, and often try to dismiss it with some variation of “Im not gonna sit here and be told the whatfer by some random idiot”

Like, excuse me sir, you are the random idiot, because you were the one that was wrong.

So when it came to registering on Lemmy, that popped up in my head and bobs your uncle.

Real nice honeypot too, every time someones wrong and backs themselves into a corner instead of admitting they are wrong, they inevitably give some variation of “living up to your user name, huh”, which just continues to prove that the actual idiot is the one lashing out like that.

  • AI is the last great bubble.

And it, like all bubbles, will pop.

You are already seeing the people in the know flee the field.

You see reports that every company that has adopted it has at best changed nothing, at worst lost money on it.

Outside of the psychotic linked in CEO bubble, literally no one wants AI. And every day its generating more and more hate due to its halucinations, mistakes, and bullshit.

Its garnering massive negative attention for its use, and for anyone stupid enough to adopt it at this point (cough intel cough)

Its a dying star, and people are frantically trying to harvest the last bits of warmth from it before going off in search of new horizons.
