I’m still not 100% sure how this works, but I’m excited for it with my wife in long car rides.
Phillies fan checking in. Agree. I have a community with a bot that posts game updates like Reddit (which is nice) but the game threads are mainly me posting once or twice and one or two other people with side off comments. No community engagement so to speak. Long way from the Reddit game threads of several thousand comments.
I thought I was gonna be able to quit Reddit full time. Didn’t look for a few days, then did. Still check since some niche communities aren’t over here (or active) yet so I have to go there. But I only still check every few days (I was a several time a day redditor so usage is down) and I’ll check Lemmy at least once or twice a day now.
I mean, they aren’t fucking wrong. Half life 3 has a federated communication system built into multiplayer? Go do it Gabe.
Where is the Klingon language setting? I’m missing those posts on here…
My understanding is that Mastadon and Lemmy are both federated and I’ve seen Mastadon posts in my Lemmy feed somehow so it’s not unreasonable to assume threads could eventually populate its way over here at some point.
Same. Where my trains at? 😭
I see “fuck u/Spez” I upvote
Where do I find this?
Another great bastion of reddit content has been felled.
Another reason for redditors to leave and join Lemmy
I use Memmy and used wefwef to confirm the 2FA after I setup the code in the web client. Very janky. But I guess it works?
Most like Apollo if you use that one on Reddit. We’ll done but it’s a web app.
I loved Unread until it went subscription. I know I don’t need to pay for it and I get core stuff For free — but some of their functionality was free before and now just feels locked to just be locked for pay.
I love this implementation. No charges, no random shut down, etc. basically free. Amazing. Glad I’m not the only one.
For iOS it’s Reeder. I’ve been using it forever. It’s awesome. I use an RSS aggregator on my rPi FreshRSS which uses an API to connect to my phone. Works really well.
Circling the drain!
