helix is good, but kakoune is where all the fun happens

Pardon, but some people want to eat shit and watch others do it. Some people still use facebook. I don’t judge them. But won’t be happy if they showed up and told me that i must do it as well.
And those features being what exactly? A small chat window drop-out so your lazy ass won’t need to open an ai chat in a tab? This is absurd.
At least they give you a choice of enabling/disabling that functionality
lmao. That’s how we got Windows as enshittified as it is now.

lmao. You fail to beat the fanboy allegations with this comment. At this point you literally look like the guy from the meme in my eyes.
and again with the misuse of the word “propaganda”, this time topped off with the most basic demagogic manipulation i’ve seen in a while, comparing me to corpos, trying to… What exactly? Is the last paragraph there to make me feel bad? Because it provides no logical counter-argument to what i said. Sorry, but i’m too autistic to be ragebaited.
You’re the one, making claims without supporting them with any proof.
My claim is that firefox gets worse by adding the features nobody asked for, spending time and money for their development, purely out of FOMO of the AI hypetrain, while struggling to implement actually relevant modern technologies such as WebGPU. AI can be a useful instrument, but if i ever want to use it, i’d use specialized tools for that, and look for them at specialized places.

Firefox will grow from a browser into a broader ecosystem of trusted software. Firefox will remain our anchor. It will evolve into a modern AI browser and support a portfolio of new and trusted software additions.
a quote from Enthony Enzor-Demeo, the current CEO of Firefox.
I like how you treat any rumors you don’t like as propaganda, implying ill intent, as well as call people morons for not trusting yet another corpo.
I personally use firefox for now, because i’m too lazy to set up synchronization between devices myself in an opensource browser.
The fact that they’re slightly better than their competitors is not a reason to fanboy over them and put a blind eye over their slow but steady shift towards enshittification.

except firefox is also part of a problem
except it doesn’t. Fixed release model quite easily gets in a way of doing shit. Need to add a PPA into config for each separate package you need the latest release of, or simply because the package itself is absent in the normal repo doesn’t help either. And don’t get me started on troubleshooting after “doing shit”.
Something like fedora does a much better job if you prefer fixed release, but if you like to experiment and “do shit”, arch derivatives like Endeavor or Cachy are just better suited for you. All of the above also have a much nicer documentation than Mint.

whether a bunch of images are separate, or are they a part of a movie is a matter of whether you can spot images being switched
Same goes for personality and “sameness” of pourself.
After all, we remember and forget all the time, our bodies physically change. I’d dare to suggest that most people still consider you to be you even if you’d lose a limb in some kind of tragic circumstances. Same goes for memories.
Continuity of existence is a charade that we’re willingly playing, bc it’s easier that way.
depends on the socks, how hot is it today
also the “am i a goblin-halfling hybrid today, or am i feeling pretty” dilemma
yeah, like the other guy said
don’t remind me of socks

*gasp*

well, i guess your pc got into a pretty certain state of being, at least for that evening, so technically it worked:)

of course there are. I was axcited to hear about Vectors when they were developed. It’s nice to see scientists come up with something new

wow, cool, good to know something like that exists. What are we vaccinating against with MRNA?
yeah, it’s a jokingly rhetorical question fam, dw
I don’t speak a word in Deutsch, but boy, do i vibe with the song, thanks <3
ah, them
you should’ve said so sooner!
The one who uses the spaghetti sauce in the image.
just to be clear, my comment was a joke, based on the color of the cat,
What’s wrong with “sketti”? I’ve just heard it like this somewhere, prolly from some aussie, idk, it’s fun to pronounce it like that
My expectations are always low towards weird cullinary combinations, and, frankly, i don’t like spaghetti, or rather, pasta in general, i’m more of a dumplings kind of guy.
This sauce mix and sketti should work well with some kind of meat. Baked meat would be ideal ofc, but some kind of sausages might work too
If it’s just pasta and sauce, it’s hard for me to imagine mayo+pasta combo to be tasty, as the texture would be too slimy, with or without mustard. The fact that pure mustard+pasta sounds meh doesn’t help either.

vaccine is a scientific term, meaning a weaker (or, rather, as weak as scientifically possible) version of the same virus / bacteria, so that immune system could learn to fight it without dying in the process.
This is not a vaccine, as has an active substance, that chemically interacts either with our body, HIV’s shell, or both

credible enough
weird. I just use kakoune-lsp, and it works just fine out of the box, spare bit of copypasting from the readme on their github.
I really like that i have to put in no effort for Helix to work, but unfortunately its just too rigid for me.
And it also backs down on kakoune’s philosophy, returning back the necessity of selection mode. It really frustrates me in this aspect. Kakoune’s more heavy reliance on modifier keys seems way more handy and sensible to me. Helix’s way just creates unnecessary complications, and feels like a change for the sake of a change.
