I have never been so grateful to live in the PNW. We’re a bit of a hike from NC, but you’d be plenty safe here!

It’s always super hit or miss. You might eventually find a particular store that tends to get good stuff, or learn when they put new stuff out so that the best hasn’t been snatched up yet.
Things have been going really well for me lately.
Texas, Florida, Idaho, Ohio, Oklahoma…
Well, being both a little sick and kind of depressed, I’ll probably throw out the salmon I was going to cook for dinner last night, or boil it and feed it to the dog. Then I’ll order food that I didn’t need and don’t want, then I will stay up too late while still being bored, and then I will finally go to sleep to do it all tomorrow, but with a different food to waste.
I’ve gotten some really high quality clothing/outdoor gear from thrift shops. High end brands like Patagonia and such. And yes, they really do make better clothes than the cheap brands do.
It isn’t a conspiracy theory.

I’ve had so many boosters at this point that I am the Jewish space laser.
I have permanent mild hearing loss and tinnitus from some jackass adult setting off small fireworks right next to me when I was fourteen. Had severe ringing in my ears and significant hearing loss for a couple of months after that. Thanks, asshole.

$26,000? That’s barely enough to survive for a few months.
No way. I’ve had food poisoning within only about two hours of eating on more than one occasion (once bad oysters, once bad eggs). The eggs especially had me promptly lying on the bathroom floor.
Don’t forget IVF, sex education, (soon?) contraceptives, history education, any behavior not conforming to traditional European gender roles, medical care for the poor, social assistance for the poor, free meals for children, the arts…
I could probably go on a while.
I am increasingly convinced that Ken Paxton is one of the most evil politicians working right now. You know he just wakes up every day and immediately starts thinking up ways to make people’s lives harder.
Judging by their username, it’s apparently what they base their entire personality on.

Kotatsu? Because they’re actually quite safe.
Fixing a running toilet was so much easier before gravity flow took over everything. I even bought a Japanese toilet recently because the gravity flow device in my standard American toilet just would.not.seal., even after replacing it. Thing was driving me nuts.
So instead, I had my dad install a toilet for me! Go dad.
