This came at the consequence of a nebulous “anti foreign funding” bill for ballot issues. Sounds harmless but 1) we already have laws against this and 2) republicans’ story around the abortion amendment that passed last year is that it was funded mostly by out of state entities, so we know that’s a card they want to play with more force.

Mike Dewine is a republican but is truly prolly the most moderate guy I’ve seen on that side of the aisle. He did a really good job of handling covid here, and other than the usual republican stances on weed or abortion, he’s generally likable.

That said, our republican legislature is not likable. They fought tooth and nail to keep from even having to make this decision, and when they finally did, they had to do it on their own terms.

Pretty sure this already happened to a trans guy once and you wouldn’t guess what they did…. They were mad about a man in the women’s room 🤦‍♀️

Correct. When a local government makes a statement like that, tourists hear it. It’s not the absence of a flag that would cause people to not want to go there, it’s the statement made by the local government. A highly unnecessary action too, btw. Why shouldn’t pride flags be allowed? There is only one reason to oppose them: bigotry.

Many dishwashers will clean all of that fine, in my experience. The annoying part is the cups or bowls that may fill with water, just make sure they’re upside down.

As far as scraping or rinsing things…. Nah. Haven’t done it since I worked in food service and saw what dishwashers could do. Some stuff needs scraped, sure, but most will come off under the detergent and hot water.

I often think about this, but I think it sends the wrong message — that your gender is a privilege you can lose, and other people can willingly respect or not. As much as I hate these people, I don’t wanna detract from the trans community’s comfort zone if that makes sense. Weaponizing pronouns and gendered language only stoops to the low low level of right wingers
