If the government really wanted to protect children from the internet they’d provide locked down devices with spyware to each kid or they’d force parents to buy locked down devices. They’d punish parents if a child used a device that isn’t locked down. If they actually cared about protecting children they’d target their parents and monitor their every move. You cant really protect children from every single thing that could happen otherwise.

Our only hope now is the release of the Epstein files. I hope they can prove trump was a client and his whole base turns on him. That’s all I fucking want for Christmas.

I’m pretty sure this is the one you’re thinking of:
That was pretty rough to watch because he was like twice her size.

He’s going to wait to see if she’ll pay the fee to be pardoned like the rest of the pardons he sold.

I second this. The Steam Deck is the best console and a really cheap gaming PC at the same time. You can emulate and use it for other programs without needing to mod it like you would a console and even though it’s linux, it’s so easy to use. You don’t really need to use the desktop mode for much if you don’t want to, but it’s not bad at all. I’ve switched to Bazzite as my only OS for my main computer because of how much SteamOS has impressed me.

Lately, I’ve only been buying indie games. I can’t justify dropping $70-$80 on one game and even when those games go on sale they’re usually $40-$50.
If you read reviews and do a little research you’ll find that there are actually a lot of really cool indie games and you can get multiple games for just a fraction of the cost of double or triple A games.

This brings up something that has been bothering me for awhile. It’s really been bothering me that when I look up an opinion Gemini will tell me whether my opinion is right or wrong. I knew it would be ripe for abuse.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. He’s probably extremely insecure that he can’t grow a beard.

It still costs more to make an indie or found footage film than it would to make a game or music or other art. I watch a lot of found footage so I’m pretty familiar with the style and do a lot of research on the ones I like. The average on the low end of the price spectrum is around $10,000 although some have been made for around $1,000.
Still there’s a lot of stuff out there. Another thing to consider is that art, music, and games from foreign countriea are way more accessible than movies and shows from abroad.

This is my point exactly. Art should be accessible for both the artist and those that enjoy the art. In the current landscape too many artists is a terrible thing for most besides the ones who are already wealthy, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I see so many extremely talented and creative people who can’t afford to make art and are forced to waste their talents because they can’t survive as an artist. Good art takes a lot of time to create and only wealthy people have free time.

The price it costs to make movies and the services that promote them. There are way more new movies than you realize. The market is just as oversaturated. You’re just less likely to see low budget indie movies the same way you prominently see low budget games and music unless you follow cheap horror circles and things like found footage.

That was my train of thought exactly. The people with the least amount of money are the ones most at risk, but advertising just to allies without letting the MAGA folk know is a challenge.

It might work best as a paid service. That was my initial idea, but even people who can’t afford protection deserve it so I scratched my initial response. I guess hit up colleges with flyers. That’s probably your best bet to find allies.

I’d be down to do that, but it doesn’t just have to be cis men. A gun should be enough of a deterrent for almost anyone regardless of who it’s on.

Competition is what degrades quality. People who’s needs are met are more creative and more likely to take risks and more likely to try to make something unique. That’s the problem with the influx of games. You see it in everything. People who are already insulated with a secure amount of wealth are able to become creative musicians/artists and others will just try to copy what makes money, but ultimately most will fail due to the sheer amount of people competing. If every developer and creator’s needs were met before they tried creating anything then the landscape would look very different, but that’s not the world we live in.
The market is extremely competitive, and ever more so with each new developer. Everything is more accesssible yes, but that is worse for everyone besides major IPs who will always make money and those who can take risks because they are in a position to do so. This is the problem with all creative fields. It’s great for people who are already secure and terrible for everyone else.
There’s definitely solutions to the problem. You could carry disposable gloves. People with dogs carry plastic bags everywhere. That could work in a pinch. You could wedge the door open and use your foot to open it to leave.
I personally just try to not use public toilets as much as possible. I carry hand sanitizer spray and a bottle of water in my backpack. It’s definitely gross, but it’s not unsolvable.
