I’m not having children until I know they won’t live to see the end of society as we know it. So… I’m probably not ever having children

Yeah I didn’t really think it through, you’re right.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I’ve been putting off making an appointment to work on getting a prescription, this thread has given me the kick I needed to finally make the call.
So does not having port forwarding mean it’s not safe to use it for torrenting? As long as my ISP doesn’t know I’m illegally torrenting stuff, I’m not really concerned personally
Do you find that being medicated comes with its own challenges, or has your experience been entirely positive?
Would I be worth it/possible to basically copy all of Reddit’s content into Lemmy? Most of Reddit’s usefulness to me is that practically any problem I encounter, I google google the question + Reddit and find a post with the answers I need. I’m sure I’ll be able to do that with Lemmy in a few years but for now 🤷♂️
I’ve known I was adhd since I was like 10, but I was only medicated for a couple years (Ritalin I think, hated it) is getting medicated as an adult really that much of a game changer? I fantasize about getting an adderall prescription and having all of my problems be solved by a pill, I know that really won’t be the case
Sorry I don’t think those numbers are accurate, there’s definitely some dummies in Michigan but nowhere near that many lol. I lived in Lansing and people there weren’t any dumber than they are up north where I am now. In fact, it really feels like the farther north you go the farther south it feels, if you catch my drift
What’s up with Michigan? I went to school there and it was great, I mean it could have been better but it certainly wasn’t bad
Wikipedia is funded via donations, de-centralized social media could be too
