I think this is likely. I could see the US starting a proxy somewhere in South America too but nothing feels particularly primed for it. Taiwan definitely seems like the next major bet.
If it’s not Taiwan, it might be somewhere else that is regional specifically to keep China busy. India, something like that. The US values Taiwan extremely highly because of TSMC so they may decide that starting a war there is too risky.
Turns out that being the front of yet another US/Russian proxy war sucks, as it always does, and maybe you should have thought about that before happily volunteering your country for the job.
I’m sure the next country the US wants to proxy into oblivion will learn from Ukraine, right?

I do the opposite. I will run any game EXCEPT D&D. This gets people to try new games, and if they really wanna do D&D they can do it themselves, learn how to DM and run a group, and then I get to play. It’s been a pretty flawless strategy for me overall

Undoubtedly this is because the US approaches deproliferation with a “you first” mentality, and then once the other side starts, the US says “jk lol.” The US can’t be trusted to hold it’s end of bargains like this so why would a serious country entertain talks with the US like this?
The US response to this should definitely be to sanction all of these countries, leaving them with no choice but to side with only the US and the EU or literally the rest of the world. Definitely that’s the best strategy here I’m sure the entire world would want to alienate itself from the rest of its parts just to trade in the currency of a dying empire 
So WADA basically saying “woah we had no clue! Wasn’t us!” While then announcing absolutely no repercussions for this.

Oh yes, regular folks in the Imperium are absolutely forbidden from knowing anything about or even talking about chaos at all.
