So if a woman was in the same weight class as Mike Tyson, you think they should be allowed to fight each other? And you think this would be a good look?
These hamfisted attempts at equality are actually the complete opposite.

Yes, let’s have a bunch of blokes beating the shit out of women in boxing. What could possibly go wrong?
I remember the Brit Awards scrapping gendered awards and putting everyone in the same category. The problem was, the only ones nominated turned out to all be men.
Anytime a website throws this nonsense at me, I immediately go elsewhere.
Read r/Retconned. They seem to have it all figured out… 😂
This kind of thing drives me mad.
If we both like each other, why don’t we communicate like adults instead of playing some stupid game?
Everything this guy said.
I’ve struggled with anxiety my whole life. But my anxiety is about things that I can control. I don’t worry about climate change, or wars or pandemics or whatever, because it’s pointless worrying about things that you can do literally nothing about.
The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee.
I’m going to show this post to anyone who asks me what Lemmy is like.
Right. But do you realise how high they would have to be to nationalise multiple trillion dollar companies?
Lol. What a ludicrous idea.
How high do you want your taxes to be, for a start?
That’s strange. I don’t think I’ve ever had that before.
I’ve had it where some apps will give you a kind of greyish dark mode instead of black, that you then need to switch to. But I’ve never had apps use the opposite to my system settings.
It still annoys me that dark mode is not universally available on every app.
Reddit and Lemmy are pretty much the only two I still use.
I keep up with people I need to through WhatsApp so I don’t need Facebook and the like.
iVerify vice president of research Matthias Frielingsdorf points out that while Showcase represents a concerning exposure for Pixel devices, it is turned off by default. This means that an attacker would first need to turn the application on in a target’s device before being able to exploit it. The most straightforward way to do this would involve having physical access to a victim’s phone as well as their system password or another exploitable vulnerability that would allow them to make changes to settings.
Just a bit of alarmism then, with something that can be easily removed in an update.
Well, it sounds better than “Bing it”.
If you have a passion for something and the means in which to pursue it, I would go for it.
Think about how you will feel in the future if you didn’t pursue it and left yourself with questions of what could have been.
Is he taken seriously? Most of the stuff he says is ridiculed.
I find paperbacks more comfortable. Though I have just bought a Kobo so I’ll probably be using that more soon.
I’m always suspicious of people who make a show of their philanthropy. It just makes it seem like they’re either exploiting people for their own gain, or they have something to hide and are trying to do so with philanthropic work.
