The US is an odd duck when it comes to taxes…
The USA is one of the few countries of the world which levies personal income tax on all its citizens: not only on its residents - citizens or non-citizens - but also on its citizens who do not live in the country. All citizens of the United States are taxed under the same personal income tax system, regardless of whether they live in the country or abroad.
My favorite is still Microsoft Zune… Which was a music store, music subscription service, a desktop app, and a physical media player.
It’s like they want their stuff to literally be unsearchable on the internet. Renaming Remote Desktop to Windows App is a prime example of this. Good luck trying to search for that and get what you want.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass…and I’m all out of bubblegum.
Fans of said movie will obviously know it but I think more people will recognize that line than actually know the movie it comes from.
My guess is they have VLANs and they didn’t set up the server to treat them as local traffic.
Absolute numbers/POS is just going to tell you if supply is matching demand(it isn’t). The survey is telling us that demand is dropping off too. They’re losing from both sides. With the number of AI cards they’re selling by the pallet to data centers I don’t think they really care that much though.

I’ve taught a half dozen or so people to drive manuals. Each one did something I’d not have expected. My favorite was the person who pushed the clutch down only as far as they pressed the brake when coming to a stop. Of course the car died. Once we could break that habit they did alright.
I pretty much just start with having them stall the car to prove the world doesn’t end…it’s fine. It’s gonna happen a dozen or so more times. Let’s move on.

With a fresh install of Plex you can still connect to it remotely…with no ports open. It will use Plex’s relay service to make the connection. That has limited bandwidth so it’s rarely anybody’s long term choice but it works right out of the box.
If you do choose to open a port then Plex partnered with Let’s Encrypt and Digicert to setup and maintain all the certs for you. So at least your connections are encrypted provided you use one of the many apps that support secure connections.
Is that the most secure way to run Plex? No. But it’s a couple steps in the right direction for basically zero effort on the server admin and users part.
You might not like the centralized auth of Plex but I don’t have to manage user accounts/passwords for people and deal with distributing them. Just send an invite to their email, they set it all up, and I never need to know about it. They forgot a password?…I never need to know about it.
