Voter ID is a weird hill to die on. Most of the world requires it, for obvious reasons. It really shouldn’t be a partisan issue.

This is why i don’t buy the conspiracy that he is still alive. I can’t imagine what the powers that be would have to gain by letting him live. He’s much too dangerous.

You shouldn’t need a discriminatory law to allow it. Your resume speaks for itself. It might feel good to do something like this, but it’s flawed from the start and we shouldn’t start down that path.

Well you have to convict them first

Not to be that guy, but I can’t see this ever holding up or getting approved in the first place. As of now there is no way to discriminate based on previous occupation. The only legal grounds for job discrimination currently in California is based on being a sexual predator or violent felon. Even regular felons are allowed to be teachers. Not sure it’s a good idea to go down the path of allowing job discrimination based on what your previous job was, particularly when it’s a completely legal occupation.

Such an INTJ thing to say

Well it’s literally a definition thing. You can argue that they aren’t true believers or something asking those lines but Catholicism is literally, by definition, a Christian faith.

Lol really going to bat for the other half of the established ruling class aren’t you.
I agree. One thing that bugs me about lemmy is how intellectually dishonest and blind people are when it comes to their own biases.

Everyone (pretty much) agrees that fascism is bad, but Antifa is a movement that means more than anti fascism. Antifa is branding or marketing in the same way that the anti defamation league is, or like the patriot act put a certain spin on a bill that stripped privacy rights from citizens. Groups use branding to gain power and aren’t all encompassing as to their motives or actions. In the case of antifa it’s less of an actual organization and more of a rallying cry that gets used for a wide variety of people with different motives, and it’s detractors point to a wide variety of actions or intents (real or imagined) when criticizing it.
All proselytizing or just the religious kind?

I’m not familiar with this conspiracy, but it sounds spicy.

Charlie Kirk got murdered for saying offensive things.

That’s his whole shtick. He has been outraged and animated for his entire career.

Did you read the article? It’s not quite that simple.

Do you understand what point he was making about gang violence and how that related to the discussion on mass shootings? In any event it wasn’t a black person.

Race has nothing to do with it at all…

No, just it’s a stupid take and always has been. Anyone with an ounce of objectivity is at least waiting for something more definitive and not simply going with what they would love to be true.

I can’t find anything saying he was killed by the right. Seems like all of the evidence suggests he was left wing motivated.
Uhh, seems like it’s way more “fashionable” for Europeans to bash the US if anything.
