You might be correct, they promise just way too much money. If it look too good (and this does, $100 for work thats at most one hour) it’s just a scam.

Thank you for reading the source, the amount of FUD in this thread is crazy.
Easier explanation: She didn’t post it, it’s an obvious fake designed to put her in jail.
Crazy that people here immediately believe its her that posted this when the Jerusalem Post reports it. It’s a random account in her name with a widely available picture, it not hers
How is that relevant? Especially considering Reagan stopped the shelling of Beirut in 1982 and the Beirut barracks bombing happened in 1983?
Yes, but it’s only consistent to reject that false framing and clearly delineate between supporters and opponents of Israel. Everything else just serves Israel by mudding the water.
I happened upon two of these in much the same way, one of them unfortunately doesn’t work but the other one has been my home office keyboard (too loud for the office) for many years. I’ve always wanted to fix the broken one by swapping in a modern controller, maybe even make it wireless (because that would be truly absurd).
Worldnews was always really bad on reddit, I was also surprised to see that true for lemmy too. Lots of different world views and biases I guess.
So far the Israeli government under Netanyahu has mostly done things to strengthen Hamas, a more radical and violent (but controlled by the vastly stronger Israeli military, or so they thought) group in power in Gaza was deemed beneficial since it prevents the formation of “reasonable”, anti-violent advocates for Palestinian liberation. Didn’t really work out that well I guess.
I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe… Viral memes on fire off the shoulder of Orion… I watched CGI babies dance in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain… Time to die.
great tech
That’s not what the glassdoor.com reviews say, at least last time I checked a bunch of employees complained about a horrendously out-of-date PHP stack.
I disagree, something like Sponsorblock is working quite well already for ads embedded in the video and unless YouTube makes serious sacrifices in UX I don’t see how they could prevent this.
I don’t think so: Stack Overflow requires much more moderation for the comments and answers to actually stay on topic and be somewhat professional. Especially the “don’t just link somewhere, explain the thing” rule might require a lot of moderation.
Yes, I think so but only indirectly. Distinguishing between the “same” community on different instances or rather identifying the more active one is already pretty hard, the only thing one can really go by is the number of users who have joined. The large number of abandoned copycat communities on 3+ servers doesn’t make this easier since a lot of these have a bunch of users but are dead.
A technical solution could be some kind of “hotness” score for instances to identify the interesting/active ones.
