I own the game on maybe ps4. Not a fan of open world games so i stopped playing it after few hours. Was maybe not fair to rank this game, but i like more character focus games like typical jrpg’s than western games that are not like that.

Everyone has different tastes. My switch almost only has strategy games with Fire Emblem Engage/Three houses, Triangle Strategy and Wargrove. If you like games like that i would either start with Fire Engage if you like character focused games or if you like to do decision on a story then play Tiangle Strategy
Pc is the plattform with the most exclusives if you consider many mmorpg’s and a lot indie games.
I have watched to-heart, but it’s so long ago. Don’t know anything anymore but i assume i thought it was decent.
I’m think i’m the same as you. I don’t mind if a game is open world, sometimes i come back and do more in that open world, but i like the game to guide me throught that world with a maybe exiting story or clearly build level paths that are linear, that are designed to be done in a exiting way. I don’t want to be creative in games.
I think it’s even more linear than FF7 Remake and that shouldn’t be possible. We all haven’t finished the game yet, but there is not much Profi in running arround mich because lot of future paths are blocked and you don’t find much items. There are a not much uninteresting side missions and the main story that is quite linear. The story is quite interesting and imersive, so the game is designed to follow the build path for an impressive experience, but if you want a game that gives you freedom, then FF16 is the wrong game. Start of the game hast 70/30 Story, gameplay, but it get less the further you get into it, but you will always be interrupted because of this imersive story that is in my opinion perfectly included.
Are the first departure R and the second Story R connected in some way? I already bought the first departure, so i will play it first anyways, but just want to know it.
Maybe they should gave Yakuza like a dragon a different name or make clear it’s a different series as the kiryu series. I think someone should just change a genre of a franchise completly, but if they want do different games as spinoff of a franchise. Persona 5 is a spinnoff of the shinmegami tensei series and has some different approaches
Final Fantasy 16 is not really like a typical jrpg. As a dev the dev shouldn’t really care about which genre a certain game has, just make a good game and don’t care about jrpg, action game or whatever your game is. We player decide the genre to know which group of gamers are maybe interrested in the game.
If there is a F-Zero than we see a new Golden sun as well
I hope for Silksong, but i don’t think they show it. The dev’s already said, it will still take some time and we would probably see it at the microsoft conference if it’s near release date
There are a lot games i played over 100 hours. Every big mmorpg i played in the past has for sure over 100 hours. That would be Guildwars and Elsword for me. But since i’m a big jrpg fan, there are a few games that just take over 100 hours. Persona 5 for example. I played the original Persona 5 and Persona 5 royal, so about 200 hours on this game. The Trails of the cold steel series has quite long games, 3 out of 4 took me over 100 hours and i played them all one after another, so it took me about 400 hours to finish this series. I played Genshin impact for 500 hours i guess, but forget about that…i’m finished with this. I played maybe every Fire Emblem entry for over 100 hours, reaching on Three houses about 400 hours and on Engage already about 250 hours. Final Fantasy X is my favorite FF game i have played so much. Over the years for sure about 10 times, so i guess i played to 300+ hours. So there are a few fighting games i played for a long time, my favorite in the last years is Soulcalibur VI. I played Soulcalibur VI for about 800h i think. I still would say i play a big variaty of games, but i invest in some of them a bit more time. But i doubt i reach 1000h in any game recent game, only in the mmorpgs, but that was a long time ago.
I don’t like it as well and don’t apologise it with the comparison of a roll model of open world games.
I think this game has a bad design. There are no mendatory trainers to beat, so people doesn’t fight them at all. But the trainer were always a indication of the difficulty in the region. But this game is designed with the intention to go to the open world and catch a lot pokemon, which is boring for me. My recommendation to level would be to finish some raids, the exp is decent on them
I’m a very big Fire Emblem fan and play all story paths of Fire emblem Three houses which i played maybe over 300 hours and on Engage i’m on maybe 200-250 hours into the game. So obviously i like both game, i wouldn’t spend so much hours if i don’t like a game. I’m aware that Fire emblem Three houses get a better score and sold better, but i think Engage is a better game. As i already wrote up ahead, i finished a Ironman run and i waited for this so long, because the former game was quite bad for this. Armbush spawn all over the game, not that iteligent map design or boring maps and you don’t get a lot more units over the game. Fire emblem three houses has the feature that you are able to socialise with other classmember. So a lot people compare it with Persona, but i think it’s not on a level like Persona. I’m not a big fan ob this church mechanik, a lot tasks are just boring or even annoying and dialogues aren’t always that good writen outside of the support dialogue that engange has as well. Three houses has a better story, at least people want to tell me that and i maybe see it, but as stupid as some of the character interactions of engage are, i just like the story and how characters are a bit more. But at one thing engage shines the most and this is gameplay and map design. The core mechanik of a Fire emblem game, because as a long time fire emblem player, the Fire emblem gameplay keeps me playing every game of the series. Out of my head, there are not much maps in Fire emblem three houses that are special, i think there a decents maps, but a lot worse as well. Of course it’s easier for me to speak about Fire emblem engage maps because i just played it recently. Fire emblem engage has a lot more maps with interresting maps hazards or designs, choose interresting legacy maps and redesigned it in an interresting way. Playing against Ike was just, how do i ever get to ike and than he breaked though the north of the map, that suprised me a lot and was fun to play. The later maps that gave you a time limit to finish the map but always try to push you units back is for me a good map. And some of the dlc maps are awesome and a really good challange (engage has maybe the best fe dlc out of all games). The Engage mechanik is as well more interresting than the mechanik of three houses that let you do different moves acording to the (i don’t know the name) soldier types you get arround you. The three houses was build arround destroying shield from big monster and some maps were quite good with that (like the map we fight this big turtle) and some weren’t fun with this mechanik. I think the mechanik was decent, has pros and flaws like the pairup mechanik of the 3ds games. But the engage mechanik is so fun for me, play besides marth or other heroes and get stronger for a short amount of time let me solve problems in the games but i have to plan ahead because it will run out at some point (endboss use that to kill my precious dragon QQ in ironman). Skill system in Engage is weird and broken in three houses…
In the End i think Engage is better than Three houses, better for core fans of the series, but maybe not better for players that got into the series with three houses. But sadly if i rank all newer Fire emblem games (3ds and switch), three houses would be my least favorite game, but not the worst in the series.
I don’t know if my text makes so much sense, just came out of my head and of course engage is more fresh to me than three houses, makes it easier to remember things in engage.
I avoid shooter because i think the gameplay doesn’t suit controller that well (and i don’t really like them). And i have more fun playing with controller. So my answer would be i avoid games that you play would rather play with mous.
I play Fire Emblem Engage. Just finished a Ironman run and maybe try to beat the DLC mapps as well with my now limited army
That’s kind of hard for me to say. Fire Emblem 7 and Sacred Stones are the one i played the most, because i played them in my childhood. I like the Story and art design of Echoes Shadow of Valentia a lot. I like Awakening, Engage and Radiant Dawn a lot as well. But i guess my favorite is Fates (Conquest). Because Fates has so amazing map design and very good designed strategy gameplay. (Btw. Micaiah is my most favorite char of the franchise)
Star Ocean the Divine Force was my first Star Ocean game. Had quite fun with it and would be for sure open the play The Second STory R. Hope that leak is correct
I want a VR game that is like the games from sword art online
