Looks like that situation might change. Apparently trump has been “truthing” that he’s going to endorse one of them and ask the other to step down instead of letting it go to a runoff, and obviously his choice is going to be Paxton. You know, just normal democracy things where the king picks the winner instead of the people.

I think it’s optimistic to think they would even care about a boycott now. By volunteering to cross the lines that Anthropic wouldn’t cross, they’ve achieved Military Industrial Complex status. It doesn’t matter if you don’t pay for a subscription, you’ll fund them with your tax dollars whether you want to or not. Their mass surveillance tools are too valuable to let them fail, so they’ll get propped up and bailed out no matter what.

In case you’re not joking, Baby Boomers = Boomers. Their parents were from the Silent Generation or the Greatest Generation. Baby Boomer refers to people born in the “baby boom” caused by the prosperity and optimism following WWII, and these days is often shortened to just Boomer.
The cup knocked onto the ground is a nice touch.

Banjo Kazooie Jiggies of Time
It’s a romhack by Mark Kurko that makes Ocarina of Time into a Banjo Kazooie game. It’s really well done and I’ve heard it’s even compatible with the recently recompiled PC port of Banjo Kazooie.

Texas doesn’t require registration in a party to vote in primaries, so the vast majority of Texans don’t bother to affiliate, and so the proportions of affiliated voters isn’t really very meaningful. More than anything, Texas is a non-voting state. It has some of the lowest voter turnout in the country, which absolutely benefits and is encouraged by the conservatives currently in power. Those who do vote tend to vote straight ticket either based on habit, perceived identity, and social pressures, or out of zealous rage over minimizing taxes at any cost.
While there is tons of voter suppression, gerrymandering, and other ugly political tactics at play, you can’t discount the immeasurable ignorance of the voters. Yes, there are millions of democrats and progressives in the four main metro areas, but between the Bible thumpers, the suburban NIMBYS, the rednecks, and the flocking tech bros that make up the rest of the population, Texas is definitely still an actual red state.

To further clarify on the point you were making in the post, he didn’t just mean he was going in spirit. He fully intended to go, but he was prevented from going by people who knew when to tell him “no.” He even physically grabbed his driver and the steering wheel of the car in a tantrum insisting that he be taken to the Capitol instead of the White House.
Everyone should have watched the January 6th Commission hearings, but now it’s like they basically never even happened.

No, not trolling. I’d never heard that they had a policy against it until I looked it up just now.
Somehow I was under the impression that devs didn’t even get a say as to if or when Steam would put their games on sale. I thought I had heard that as a major gripe of devs who list games on Steam.
Now I’ll have to decide when I feel like it’s worth the remainder of my life and $35.
Does Factorio ever go on sale? I think I’ve had it wishlisted for over a year now.

By the time this movie comes out, the first movie (2007) will be closer in time to the first episode (1989) than to the second movie (2027).

Really, he didn’t even say anything that Kash Patel and the governor of Utah didn’t already say (“praying it wasn’t one of us”), he just said it as a humorous joke on prime time TV, instead of pathetic jokes during press conferences.

I’m fairly certain that episode aired at least a week before the dinner shown in this post. It’s like reality couldn’t stand to be outdone by South Park.

Those are legs so the line doesn’t fall down.

and the users are revolting
Yeah, they’ve always been a little off, haven’t they?
Part of that is because it wasn’t a throwaway movie tie-in game. The E.T. Atari game was appalling shit that came out the same year as the movie after a full 5 weeks of development and was definitely a throwaway tie-in. Goldeneye came out two years after the movie because the team thought it was the raddest shit ever and wanted to make it a good game. By the time the game came out, the movie was already long gone from theaters and had been out on VHS for almost a year.
