Research is coming out that the flu has long term effects on human health. Rather than see how strong your immune system is, wouldn’t you rather prepare your immune system for the possibility of sickness? You’re right that our immune systems are amazing. They can amazingly recognize diseases they’ve never actually seen before, because we showed them examples of the diseases first.
