In the middle of getting my wisdom teeth pulled. They had to like, take me off the laughing gas, but then feed me air or o2 or something for a bit to make sure it was cleared out of my system enough that I could EXIT the dentist’s office and proceed down the hall of the office tower to the shared washroom … while still doped up on the other pain stuff and whatever else was going on (I think they had to shove some gauze in there to keep me from bleeding all over myself or something) … fun times!
I’ve been very happy with my Monoprice “Blackbird 4K DisplayPort 1.4 USB 3.0 4x1 KVM Switch, 4K@60Hz, HDR, YCbCr 4:4:4, HDCP 2.2”. I run an ultrawide at 3840x1600 @ 144 Hz, or HDR at 120 Hz, G-Sync both, and it works wonderfully. It took some effort to get all the required devices using the same connections - went through quite a few “USB-C to DP” cables from Amazon that had to be returned because they couldn’t do the high refresh like they claimed … but once I got everything set up, it’s worked like a dream, 3+ years and counting now I think.
Digress/Digressed
Same. I was so sure actually I was wondering if it was edited after I clicked or something.
I learned about 16 years ago on a Solaris course that /usr wasn’t “user”, I still say “user”, but I’m happy to see the information spreading that that isn’t what it actually is.
If you refuse to try hard enough, anything can be “not compatible” with anything.
I believe it may have been E.T. on Atari. That or the Star Wars one we had, which I think may have been Empire
it just shuts up you internal monologue for long enough to get to sleep
Though it takes longer to achieve, it’s effects go beyond just helping you sleep - regular meditation, even purely secular “mindfulness meditation” can help achieve the same, with lasting effect, and much wider implications in day to day life.
There is sometimes still an internal monologue, but it’s not as powerful or overwhelming, and it’s much easier to ignore or shut off.
I was referring to Standard Def, but both are good and pretty light on space!
SD porn.
NZXT
It is!
Hhhrrrrmmmm, very good point I had not previously considered.
I just switched to MagicEarth since it works with Android Auto. Pretty happy with it so far.
I tried it. I tried just opening lots of tabs. I tried grouping tabs. Open tabs strewn across 3+ devices, “to read later”, until eventually some months later I just give up and close them, having lost interest or simply seeing a need to close some of the overflowing tabs.
My only solution to this problem - as BAD as ChatGPT is and as much as we hate it - feed the thing I’ll want to “read later” straight into ChatGPT RIGHT THEN, and just read a summary of it.
I’ve been doing this for a couple weeks now and so far, so good.
We have the same case! Twinsies!!
Found the other audiophile.
With you mentioning Logitech in the post, I’m not sure you actually want “audiophile” speakers or just ‘good computer speakers’, but the above list gets my audiophile thumbs up. I’d throw Klipsch The Sevens and The Nines into the mix too.
Hrm, I’ve got a $6k set of Klips I put together about a year or so ago and they all have grilles.
I’m looking at a ~$20k set of SVS Ultra Evos in the next few months, they’ve all got grilles.
Everything else I’ve explored and considered in the ‘window shopping’ that has led me to the SVS - Paradigm, higher end Klips, PSB, Wharfedale, JBL, all in around that same price point, also all had grilles.
Are you sure the pictures you’re seeing are not just making a point of showing you what is under the grilles, but they do in fact come with grilles?
Amateur stills.
