Yeah, I guess “black tea” is a bit of a misnomer. It’s probably just simpler to share the terminology with coffee though
Coffee is just too bitter for me unless I overload it with way more cream and sugar than is healthy. At that point all the caffeine and sugar makes me way too jittery. On the other hand, I enjoy drinking tea black, so tea it is.
Jesus fucking CHRIST
It’s honestly incredible that Bing even still exists, much less is still being actively being pushed by M$
Good to see they’re branching out with their business model. Can’t just commit to a single strategy these days. Sometimes it helps to rebase your priorities to avoid creating new issues.
Ok, bad jokes aside, how did it taste?
Is Pickett really that bad? I don’t really follow the Steelers, so maybe my impression isn’t accurate, but it seemed to me that even though he wasn’t franchise QB material, he didn’t seem like a complete disaster. I thought Matt Canada was more of a problem than Pickett was…
And to think the GOP used to claim it believed in “small government…”
Yeah, I feel largely the same way. ADHD can have its occasional perks - it’s fun to hyperfixate on a topic of interest when I can afford to do so, and sometimes all the bits of random information that happen to stick in my brain can come in handy - but it’s not a “secret superpower.” It’s a disorder.
What an absolute clown show for everyone involved, and I say this as a Saints fan. Jameis looks like an ass for going rogue on his coach for the sake of style points in a meaningless situation, but honestly it might reflect even worse on Dennis Allen. If he’s lost the respect of his players so badly that the rest of the team would be willing to go along with something like that (and even publicly double down on it after the fact), the Saints’ locker room situation seems to be a lot worse than I thought.
It’s a shame the Saints couldn’t have just kept Allen as a DC. Yesterday notwithstanding, our defenses have generally been excellent while he’s been around, but the man is just absolutely not cut out to be a head coach.
Promoted to his level of incompetence once again. And now some other team will be picking up an elite DC this offseason at the Saints’ expense…
Bugs in tests aren’t necessarily exceptions. You could be incorrectly setting up your function inputs, or just making the wrong assertions.
I don’t think the NFL nor the casinos have any incentive to fix matches. Isn’t it pretty much the opposite? If there’s an impression that the matches are rigged, wouldn’t that deter betting?
I just think it comes from a lack of accountability at the officiating level. There basically aren’t any consequences for even flagrantly blown calls, and the Replacement Refs fiasco made it a lot harder to try and enforce any. After the NFL tried to introduce video reviews of PI after the Saints-Rams NFCCG incident, the refs basically went into open revolt and refused to overturn just about anything challenged by the rule, and the NFL ended up backing down.
IMO the best move would be the NFL offering the refs union a pay raise too big to ignore, in exchange for agreeing to a meaningful system of accountability around flagrant and/or repeated blown calls. I don’t know exactly what such a system would look like, and it’d be a hard balance to strike (people are human and sometimes just don’t see stuff), but I feel like it has to be possible to some degree.
I don’t really get how “overt racism in a job description” is programmer humor, but alright

Then another message popped up. This time with a console.warn() logging level, so I just couldn’t ignore it.
That’s how you know this one’s fake. Most unrealistic part of the whole story.
That’s an oddly specific percentage…
Goddamn. Did the injury ruin him, or did he just get genuinely outperformed by Sam Darnold?
The Niners better hope Purdy isn’t a one-year wonder… Otherwise, they’re screwed.
If it weren’t for the political realities of how voting works under first-past-the-post, the progressive wing of the Democratic party could have easily split off into a separate party whose younger leadership and willingness to push for actually-meaningful change could probably have run circles around the Dems at this point.
…Man, I really wish I could vote for a presidential candidate that I actually believed in, instead of this “vote for the status-quo neoliberal or democracy dies” bullshit.
