Oh look, a tech bro pivoting from crypto to genAI. He’s shifting grift a little late but whatever.
Doesn’t know the lyrics. Just goes meow meow meow.

It does not. You need a Switch 2 to play this game. There’s some game share Nintendo feature that allows a Switch 1 to play it if it is being shared locally by a friend with a Switch 2. Some magazines are having fun wording this confusingly and getting people’s hopes up but it’s not happening. Console makers aren’t in the business of extending devices’ lifespan.

I totally get and share your distrust of corporations. I just want to share two points.
Please don’t lose sight that Kaeden Rowland is an actual person, not an ad.
Regarding her gender identity, she has told CNN: “I’m just a trans girl getting her ups […] at a really hard time for trans people to get their ups.”
I’m also wondering how you’re associating USA TikTok’s transfer with Staples Baddie’s success. This isn’t a company nor a creator who particularly aligns with the regime’s propaganda.
something something programming socks

Bro you’re on Beehaw here. So please be nice. Objectively pointing out what’s wrong with their comment is good. Simply not engaging is alright too.

Man what’s with the whole world suing Valve? Can’t we go after ANY other big tech company?

Aw man, I feel for your colleagues. If you’re the boss you’re the boss I guess. I gotta say though, imho being pedantic comes with the territory when you hang out with a code interpreter all day. It’s just a question of getting things done.

You’d have a problem if you felt like you made something perfect. You can improve those “wrongs” in any order but getting something up and working first and foremost is a very sane way to get some practice in.

A template is literally an HTML file with some PHP tags sprinkled to feed in the data. Echoing large swaths of HTML is weird. And PHP tag syntax is actually hello(); .

I’ve absolutely been attracted to games that were suffering from anti-woke review bombing before. I wouldn’t buy something in a genre I don’t care for just because but being referred as woke, even negatively, is always a plus for me.
That being said I wouldn’t advertise my support of the game specifically as a jab at the anti-woke mob. I’d simply leave a positive review underlining precisely how this game is inclusive and why that’s a good thing.

Shaming the victim is never the answer.
Yeah helping is not the same as taking responsibility for a thing. That’s what needs to be distributed. If you’re in charge of taking the garbage you shouldn’t have to be reminded. If you’re in charge of evening meals you shouldn’t be waiting to be told when and what to cook. For each “department” there needs a head and nobody should be head of everything. The head can of course ask assistance whenever it makes sense.

Big tech is gradually seizing all means of computation. Fuck that.

Fuck growth for its own sake. Let’s stop this cancer cell mentality. Sustainability’s where it’s at.

I’d bet a loony it’s part of a larger attempt at provoking some kind of agressive response from the population so he can justify with his base to crank up the authoritarianism.

I agree with you that this article was deliberately framed to cast AI in a bad light as it is in line with their audience’s general sentiment. What I’m pointing out is that this target audience of AI haters is actually the whole gaming community. Which is massive. Which entails a massive amount of folks don’t like AI one bit. You see where I’m get at?
So I was coming here with my pitchfork to blabber about how code is written for humans and that it’s important to be simple and clear and stuff… but then I realized this was a jab about that dumb book. Fuck that book.

I don’t think PCGamer titled their headline with the objective of getting upvotes on Lemmy.

I’m more of a potato.
If you’re up for some reading be sure to check out the Breaking Free report. Hands down the most thorough, easy to read document about the issue imho.
