If you want to create keyboard layouts, keyd
is very good for that. You can create several keyboard layers and use whatever key you want as a modifier.
I use it to mimic the windows “US International with dead keys” layout that I’ve grown used to but it can do so much more.
I use keyd
Very customizable.
Not with Hyprland, I had to set a nice chunk of variables to make it work properly.
Gaming on linux is surprisingly good right now. Other than those games that require kernel level anti-cheats, most games work really well.
… But in case it wasn’t clear, the user suggesting linux from scratch is joking. Use Linux Mint or Ubuntu if you’re starting your linux journey. Try it on a virtual machine, for instance.
I admire you, friend!
The problem is that I have not yet met a single human who enables a bios password. An attacker can simply boot the bios and disable it.
You can’t install most linux distributions with secure boot enabled.
If you want to install Linux, secure boot limits the distributions you can use. If you don’t then it’s whatever.
You can ask the receptionist “Where is the Linux section?”, walk up to it and there it is. And you can grab a book and skim through it to see whether it suits you.
You can also go to google, ask “How linux works” and skim through the results.
I’m not saying libraries are bad, they’re obviously amazing (and yes, I’ve been to libraries lol). However, in these sort of questions OP is usually looking for personal recommendations, something that you already read, heard about or found interesting to share. Yes library has books, but which book would you personally recommend OP to read? Which one do you like the best and why?
Recommending the library when someone is asking for information on a specific topic is almost as helpful as pointing them to a search engine. “Just google it and use whichever result you like”.
Basically you need to register your pets in local parish office. They require microchip and up to sate vaccines (there is a list of mandatory vaccines). If everything is in order they’ll give you a permit valid for one year. You’ll have to renew it once it expires. It doesn’t cost much but it annoys me that I have to pay for this.
When you walk the dog you need to bring the permit with you. It works like a persons ID card, at any point a police officer may require you to present it. Id you don’t have it you’ll be fined. I don’t know how the fine values nor how it escalates from there. I like to obey the law, not just when I agree with it…
I owned pets pretty much all my life and have only been asked dor the permit once. The police officer didn’t appear to have a microchip reader, they did not confirm the permit belonged to the dog I was walking.
You can check the comment chain below for extra details, but in my country there are sanitary laws that prevent you from walking animals without the mandatory vaccines.
Yes, she does give us signs. We close the door to her usual go to place and check out when she’s circling around it, then we go outside. Works great for poop but unfortunately not for pee. She holds her pee for hours until we finally give up and let her go.
Unfortunately no, it was not a misunderstanding. It’s the law, you have to periodically prove your vaccines are in order otherwise you are intelligible to walk it outside…
Hmm when you say reward, are you giving her treats when she poops outside? That tends to help.
Yes, we say “good girl” and hand out several of her favorite treats.
Maybe the next time the puppy tries to go inside you could quickly grab them and take them outdoors to do their business?
We have been somewhat doing this. We close the door to her usual go to place and check out when she’s circling around it, then we go outside. Works great for poop but unfortunately not for pee. She holds her pee for hours until we finally give up and let her go.
The best way in my experience is to get to her outside before she has a chance to go inside.

Vets specifically told us not to go outside until all vaccines were in order.
We got a puppy so gaming has been pretty much non-existent… We did try a few games, but none of them were good enough for me:
Phogs: felt very repetitive
Unraveled 2: Can’t really say what turns me off but it really doesn’t spark joy for me. The puzzles just feel uninteresting and with no purpose.
I was told the show is very popular in Australia, is that true?
I don’t really mind the contestants outside Europe, I think it’s pretty cool they invited Australia if Australians are indeed fans of the show.
