I think you’re conflating liberalism with capitalism, which isn’t really accurate.
Capitalism can exist without liberalism, and this does lead into fascism, but that’s still capitalism.
/u/outwrangle before everything went to shit in 2020, /u/emma_lazarus for a while after that, now I’m all queermunist!

I was told that royal families are all ceremonial and that they don’t have any real power, but we keep finding them embroiled with people who have real power.
Really makes you think.

Do you think the US acquisition has zero impact on Tiktok globally?

Lasers are coherent, I think you need a lasing medium for that.
You could focus the light into a single point, sure, but that’s not really a laser in the technical sense.

They’re very good at it, and they’re good at working together to get more rich and more powerful. Anyone can make mistakes but they’re certainly not stupid, bad at their job, or incompetent.

Because the sale of Tiktok was done to suppress Palestinian voices?

They’re good at what made them rich and powerful! They’re not good at much else, they’re not smart about much else, and they can’t really do much else. But! They’re still they’re very good at what they do, and they love doing it.
They have a specialized set of skills and interests that revolve around making money and gaining influence/power.
Your enemies aren’t dummies, that’s why they win. Stop underestimating them. They’re gonna fucking kill us all.

They don’t want IMAX in your living room, they want IMAX in the IMAX theater, where you pay a premium for their service.

It’s popular among his base!
There is, in fact, a solid core of Trump supporters who really believe he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize and really believe he’s solved 8+ wars and that he’s a peacetime president. They’re not the majority but I don’t see how it’s useful to deny the fact that these people exist. He’s still losing support, but that also demonstrates that he still has support left to lose.

A lot of them think Trump “solved” the conflict, you can’t just ignore this.
It’s one of the reasons he keeps demanding a peace prize, his little pig cult believes it.

You’re following normal people. Are you actively following rightoid freaks?

Well sure, there’s wider context behind J6 as a single flash point, but I don’t think you should overlook the event itself. It’s the most successful single day of protest that I can think of - yeah they got arrested and jailed for a while, but in the end they got literally everything they wanted and were entirely vindicated. The J6ers were transformed into political prisoners and martyrs, becoming a rallying flag for their movement. I think Trump’s victory owes a lot to their contribution to right-wing politics.

J6 has been the most successful US political movement in my lifetime

I guarantee you that there are people who believe that Trump already saved Gaza and that all the news coming out now is fake.

There have to be at least a few people who believe his “peace president” bullshit.

You’re right, no one ever does anything on purpose. Somehow the richest and most powerful people in the world are all stupid, bad at their job, incompetent, and make mistakes. There are only coincidences. Nothing is done on purpose.

There’d also be people who refuse to eat human meat and everyone else would make fun of them.

It’s currently $1.6 billion in the hole, and adding $227 million per month because the fund is being looted. Seems like something any large country could step in and resolve with additional funding, gaining a huge amount of leverage for a very reasonable price.
Adam Smith didn’t invent capitalism. It’s not a philosophy, it was an economic system that emerged from certain material relations. Liberalism, and fascism, are just two of the ideological frameworks that can reproduce capitalism’s material base and both of which emerge from the material base of capitalism.
