The US Congress should be abolished and replaced with a Parliament that is responsible to the people.

It has always been broken. The Civil War was in part triggered by business-friendly SCOTUS judges who ruled that the Missouri Compromise was unconstitutional. That set off the killing of hundreds of thousands of people.

Personally I believe that they were forced into it, kicking and screaming, and they wanted to make it painful. They didn’t care who got hurt, only that someone did get hurt.

This was done purposefully and to inflict pain.

I’ve never managed to develop one. I’ve gone many times down the “oh that looks interesting” only to quickly become bored path so I gave up on trying to adopt one. I focus on making my day less boring.

As I understand, this clock measures how habitable the world remains for humans. If we get to the end, we’d say that humans can’t easily survive anymore.

History isn’t a living thing, it’s a concept. People within history may be biased, however.

You’d have a lot of people erasing their trauma and then not understanding why they do or feel a certain way about things.

There’s an entire field of study called “History” and people are trained to do just that. YOU, specifically, want otherwise. Don’t project that on other people.

All things that suck and are part of human nature. Sadly most people seem unable to grow past their primal urges.

Honestly, though, this has happened throughout all of human civilization. It’s only now that people think it’s generally a bad thing. In the past, you either didn’t care, suffered it, or celebrated the conquest.
