And you have the balls to cite the upvotes on that thread as an argument when you know for a fact most feedback is against the concept of the bot itself? People upvoted that thread because the title made it seem the mod team was willing to do something.

Can you tell me how many articles from those sources were shared the last month? Because i havent seen many or any at all, but meanwhile i have seen Al jhazeera and other news outlets being called not credible without much basis. If the information shared on an article is not factually correct, you can write a message or edit the title so people can know it or even remove the thread if it can be harmful, but what the mod team here is doing is just absurd. The goal should be to get rid of the bot already.

Seriously… i just cant understand whats the train of thought on all news related .world communities with this bot, its just mental. All that is needed from the mods is to take down articles that have demonstrated fake news / are factually incorrect. Not to write code for a bot that uses really sketchy websites as their reference.

Sorry but most of your replies have been very targeted and the good faith more than debatable, they go from naive to outright omitting the point most people is trying to explain to you. Edit: also to be clear, i dont care if you are not the owner of the bot, as a mod you can ban it.

Im sorry but the sole concept of the bot is bullshit and as many have said already the idea is biased per se. I wish i lived in the same world as mbfc where it seems like all media is left-center.

If anything, what would be needed would be a bot that checked if the information on that article has any known missinformation or incorrect/wrong facts. And that would be extremely hard to maintain and update as a lot of news are posted before any fact checking can be done.

Thats debatable, he asked if shareholders were happy with meta burning billions, if the shareholders werent happy they would be looking for an out and making the stock price go down, them being fine with it makes it so buying stock becomes more expensive as people is holding and the value goes up.

i mean, the main concern for most shareholders is the stock price, and meta stock price in the last 6 months has gone up 20% and 47% on the last year, im pretty sure most of them are happy as long as the bubble keeps going up

Would be good to have a source for that claim, because taxes are paid directly or indirectly in most things done in your daily life ie, having a car, having a house, buying foods or services. So, if your problem is that despite paying taxes they are stressing too much the house supply and government funded services you will be in favour of kicking out of the country people that is legal but have too many kids? Before i reply i really would need to know if you are even joking, i get that its a trend on lemmy, going rondabouts in a discussion completely losing the point of the argument in a long post instead of replying to what the other user said, but to have to read arguments about tourism outside major cities in things like ski resorts and small villages when the thread is about Barcelona (and the metropolitan area around it) and im bringing examples about what other major cities are doing just seems like trolling at this point by your part.

The metropolitan area of Barcelona has 5,3 million population, im sure an example of a random village with 2k people applies. By the way, a big part of tourism in BCN is already on the edges of the metropolitan area on illegal, or at least gray, airBnbs.
