Right, why participate if it’s just going to be buried under the mountain of other content.
I’d imagine you’re rather unique. I have a hard time imagining atheists believing in something as nebulous as a soul.
EDIT: Please don’t downvote OP, if anything this is a more interesting discussion thread than just “No, we’re just meat and electricity”
Better than 8388409 rows deleted at least.
Plus everything is just a bit broken and requires some figuring out. I’m definitely pretty tech savvy, but I’m having a hard time imagining non tech savvy people figuring out how to sign up and access these communities, at least not in the current state of things.
When my kids were about that age we would play piggy back brigade. Fun little racing game with cute pigs. Easy enough for kids to pick up and fun for adults too.
I feel like fluxx has a bit too much mental load for a 5 yo with how many rules can be in play at any given point. Sushi Go can definitely be a good choice though.
Light: Azul
Medium: Heat
Heavy: Terraforming Mars Ares Expedition
Most played: Netrunner if that counts
Favorite: Terraforming Mars
Big TM fan, just love the gameplay loop of making and spending cubes
Wow, you’ve got to be in the minority to actually prefer not using Prelude. :) I definitely prefer playing with Prelude, but I also like to throw in another expansion to mix it up. I really like Colonies, but I know lots of other people hate the imbalances in that expansion.
Heat and Camel Up?! Both such terrific ‘racing’ games!
My favorite heavier game is definitely terraforming mars. The gameplay loop is so satisfying and everyone always loves playing with the cubes.
Sleeved cards is also good, because you can usually skip the pile shuffle and just do the mash shuffle
In that case I’d say pile shuffle before regular shuffle is the way to go
What makes you think the deck is not random enough?
One interesting thing after a couple of plays is that this game is really good for mismatched skill levels. You can fairly easily handicap the game, by either taking away heat from the better players or adding heat to the less capable players at the start of the game. Or doing the opposite with stress cards.
What is the ! community? Is that some sort of lemmy specific magic name?
Azul is probably the game our family gets to the table most often. We have the original and summer pavilion as well. It has just the right level of complexity and interaction that keeps our family engaged.
My rule for kickstarters is basically if I absolutely love the series or creator. If the game is good it will be available after Kickstarter without all the extra Crufts/add-ons/fees that modern Kickstarter campaigns have
I think low voted comments still get pushed to the bottom though, is that not right?
