That doesn’t seem like very much money for what they’re pulling off.
That’s Purchase Power Parity for ya.
What do you think they’re pulling off?
Confirmed election interference, armies of trolls and bots, buying out probably 1/3 of congress…
$100k buys you a politician. They’re not that expensive. $27M per week buys a lot of political discourse.
Yeah, but they’re not bought like we want to lobby for a pipeline or tax cuts for oil sales. They’re bought like we need to install this new fascist regime, and we need to stick our hands up your collective asses and puppet you for a few years.
wonder what’s coming up this November that justifies this increase
How much does usa spend? We’ll never know in this phony “democracy”.
If you don’t know, you are new to this and haven’t been a troll for very long. You can do better. Try looking at the power of the dollar and point out how little it buys. The ruble is so devalued that an entire country can run a propaganda campaign for less than a US tank each month. That’s good value. Did you know that if Russians rise up and stop Putin, they would have worse job opportunities and no way to save their family from the impending famine? The West will absolutely starve Russia because they listen to the West too. Everyone does. Russia is powerless to actually do anything to stop the West, which is why so many Russians have to die. Stop Putin and die slowly or work with him and die quickly. It’s quite a choice for an entire nation who supports him. Hopefully India and China share their rice because in Russia no food will be growing. Just sunflowers.

$400k/month is pretty small part of Russia’s foreign influence budget then.
That doesn’t feel like much. In Romania the ruling coalition has been spending upwards of 40mil euro for “press and propaganda” every year since 2021. And this is in a country with an eighth of the population and 1/50 of the land surface.
Edit: lol, it’s 27 mil per week. Nevermind
