Headline: US warns Israel to boost humanitarian aid into Gaza or risk losing weapons funding

First line of the article: The Biden administration has warned Israel that it must increase the amount of humanitarian aid it is allowing into Gaza within the next 30 days or it could risk

The headline is intentionally making it seem like the US is asking Israel itself to provide aid to Gaza, no they’re just pretending to ask Israel to please stop preventing other people from trying to provide aid to Gaza.

    Thanks Associated press, very cool.

And the deadline is just after the election and if Trump wins, then they don’t need to do absolutely anything. Just wait and take preventive measures if Harris wins.

Don’t worry though, American forces will be on the ground with patriot batteries to support the genocide, we just have to say this for the annoying anti-genocide people.

I won’t pretend to understand the complexity of this horrific situation. I’m angry and fed up with Israel and the West’s relationship with Israel. And it confuses the hell out of me when I see things like this exposé from Bob Woodward that just came out: https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/08/politics/bob-woodward-book-war-joe-biden-putin-netanyahu-trump/index.html

“That son of a bitch, Bibi Netanyahu, he’s a bad guy. He’s a bad fucking guy!” Biden declared privately about the Israeli prime minister to one of his associates in the spring of 2024 as Israel’s war in Gaza intensified, Woodward writes.

“He’s a fucking liar,” Biden said privately of Netanyahu, after Israel went into Rafah, Woodward writes.

“Bibi, what the fuck?” Biden yelled at Netanyahu in July after an Israeli airstrike killed a top Hezbollah military commander and three civilians in Beirut, according to Woodward.

“You know the perception of Israel around the world increasingly is that you’re a rogue state, a rogue actor,” Biden said to Netanyahu.

If this is how Biden privately talks about the guy, I have to wonder what’s keeping him from being public about it. I understand this is politics, but I want to hope that there’s more to it because the United States and other Western nations sure as hell should not be complicit in the slaughter of Palestinians simply because of politics.

      🤬🤬🤬

I’ve always felt that we support Israel for the same reason we support Ukraine. They’re a friendly military force located in a region of the world where we have enemies. Ukraine helps counter Russia and the same for Israel during the Soviet Union era. Now Israel is a counter to Iran and various terrorist groups.

Most of the enemies are there in the Middle East are because of Israel, or other things we’ve done, like invasions or funding terrorists to get oil.

That’s absolutely one of the key reasons the US supports Israel. However, that doesn’t mean it can turn a blind eye to what Israel actually does.

The West, especially the United States, has the ability to exert a lot of influence on Israel and yet it seems that they’re not trying. Withholding military aid, among other things, goes a long way.

I really wonder what it is I’m missing when it comes to why they won’t exert pressure the way it seems they should.

We demand to pass out one cheese sandwich for every ten year-old we napalm. And if you don’t do that, we will back down immediately!

Idk if it’s my hearing or what, but this sounds to me like a dogwhistle. Specifically, like they’re not saying that the second the election is over that the US is going to notice Israel is doing a warcrimes 100% run and they can either pump the breaks or the faucet turns off.

Like i said, might just be my hearing tho.

“If you don’t send more aid to help the people who are only being hurt because we keep supplying you with weapons, we’ll stop supplying you with weapons”
