Progressives get shunned by their respective wings and orthodoxy gets entrenched making it even more of “us vs them”. I’d love to find a way to abolish parties and force representatives to actually represent all people from their electorate area… but I’m a dreamer.
I love that we treat politics as team sports. Even the use of the word opponent implies you aren’t working toward common goals.
