To all Canadians, us sane Americans would rather you prefer as you are. This is a concrete example of a “president” that just thinks the way to “lead” is by writing as many executive orders as possible and pressuring other countries to meet ridiculous demands by initiating trade wars and threatening them.
I know that many Americans don’t like this either. But Canada is unable to defend itself against the US military without serious help. And I don’t completely trust that a US population that couldn’t be bothered to vote against Trump would take any action to stop him if he were to give the order to invade.
There’s no way he would invade with military force. It would not only be political suicide, it would collapse NATO and likely the Western world as unified entity. With Russia’s aggression and China’s ascension, the stakes are way to high for a potentially catastrophic move like that.
Today Dementia Don sat next to Mark Rutte Head of NATO and spewed his fucking 51st nonsense and talked about erasing our border. Rutte said NOTHING. Fuck NATO to hell.
Canada could never defend itself from the US military. Never. Canada could only do asymmetrical warfare and insurgency. But it would also never end. So the US would have to kill all 41 million of us to put a stop to us going FLQ 2 electric boogaloo on them until the end of time. Also we would poison pill all our resources as well.
