WASHINGTON, July 11 (Reuters) - A California farmworker died on Friday from injuries sustained a day earlier when U.S. immigration agents raided a cannabis operation and arrested hundreds of workers, according to a farmworker advocacy group.
Dozens of migrant-rights activists faced off with federal agents in rural Southern California on Thursday. It was the latest escalation of President Donald Trump’s campaign to deport all immigrants in the U.S. illegally.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said in a statement that approximately 200 people in the country illegally were arrested in the raid, which targeted two locations of the cannabis operation Glass House Farms.
Agents also found 10 migrant minors at the farm, the statement said. The facility is under investigation for child labor violations, said Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott in a post on X.

If iCE were to, under the protective cover of military black hawk helicopters and a major city’s police department, with US marines standing guard around the building, take vans of chained up (arms and legs) american children and put them on a plane to death camps where they advertised and bragged about ample local wildlife to dispose of the bodies. Just for being the wrong ethnicity, not that there’s any good reason to do that to children.
Just, for the sake of argument, in a situation like that which could never happen. What would you say should be done?
Assuming we couldn’t get aforementioned bukake-brigades trained, lubed, and ‘shooting’ on demand. Though the ethics of that strategy might need to be reconsidered, given the absuctees in this purely hypothetical situation would be children.
I don’t know. But pulling out your gun and shooting an agent or two is just going to get you swiftly killed, so I wouldn’t do that.
