Why would you want something like that one would ask? Child rapists investigating child rapists? Simple… If Gaetz doesn’t manipulate the investigation in a manner that goes the way Trump wants it too, the DOJ can charge and convict him of trafficking and having sex with an underage girl for money, because they never formally charged him previously… It’s not much of a reach to say it was just blackmail they were putting aside to ensure his full cooperation after swearing him in Attorney General. The defense I’ve seen start to pop up on 4chan’s /pol/ board, which has had a fairly big impact on politics/conspiracy theories, is that the girls were “only” 14 and might have had sex before (some of the victims who’ve spoken publicly described having experienced sexual abuse before.) Some of the girls “participated” in trafficking others, being paid to bring friends with them.
There are several in the alt right and conservative spaces who do think it is ideal for men to marry teenage girls. Many parts of the states where child marriage is legal (with minors also unable to file for divorce).
With the attack on women’s rights - the same types literally want to abolish the 19th amendment, several conservatives have proposed the idea of “family votes,” at least five women are dead because of the end of Roe with more likely but states are actively refusing to investigate/are covering up these deaths, the attacks on “no fault” divorce, the alt right hysteria/obsession with birth rates…
We have concentration camps now, for people who are in the country legally. All bets are off. I’m wondering if it’ll be more than just the 4chan degenerates suggesting that raping teenage girls is an acceptable thing to do.
