He’s maxed out on the blood thinners. I think that accounts for both described symptoms. I am not a doctor, but I did watch all of House, twice.

Im only speculating, based on what i remember from EMT and MA training. Tell tale signs though, and unfortunately is somewhat fixable. I doubt surgery will kill him but bad diet afterwards might. But its a president so …

And recall that his previous doctor had suggested hiding some green vegetables in his mashed potatoes or something, like over does for a child, just to get him to eat healthier. And this was like 6 years ago

Surgery on the elder is risky also because their minds don’t take anesthesia well. A lot don’t come back as the same people, their memories are wrecked, and usually they don’t last but a few more years after.

Nearly half of all patients with heart failure have a normal ejection fraction (EF). The prevalence of this syndrome, termed heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), continues to increase in the developed world, likely because of the increasing prevalence of common risk factors, including older age, female sex, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, renal dysfunction and obesity. However, we should be aware that the president’s ejection fraction has not been disclosed, nor has his BNP, Creatinine & GFR (or troponins/EKG). When was his last ECHO and Stress Test???

Yeah, edema (fluid gathering, causing swelling) is a classic sign of diastolic heart failure. It’s caused by the muscle fibers of the heart stiffening, which reduces the heart’s ability to expand and draw fresh blood in between beats. Usually caused by a lack of exercise. The heart can’t draw blood back up from the legs, which increases blood pressure in the legs as blood gets pumped down but not back up. This extra pressure in the legs forces fluid out of the veins and into the surrounding tissues, causing swelling.

Also if he’s been wearing compression dressings it would explain the photos from a while back where he clearly had something on his legs under his pants.

the blood thinners won’t save him… he should also be on the statins and auxiliary anti cholesterols… Additionally, he should be using a CPAP or BiPaP for his sleep apnea so could actually get decent sleep. But instead he just stays up and posts on his stupid social platform and watches cable tv instead.
