      They’ve finished downloading enough of the new narrative to resume playback. They’re like realplayer in the 1990s, sometimes they have to buffer for a bit before operating normally again.

          Real had an office near ours when I worked in SF during the dotcom bubble. We’d walk past their loading dock and the company brand placard at that entrance always had a sheet of paper with BUFFERING written on it thanks to some brilliant motherfucker.

        What’s happening right now is exactly why I always said Putin didn’t have any blackmail underage piss tapes. Because even if he released them it wouldn’t matter. The cult would still support him and there would be no legal consequences. Exactly what we see now.

      Even if trump choked on a hamberder and expired tomorrow billionaires would find a way to drive his anamatronic corpse to continue playing snake charmer to these idiots. They’re utterly committed to whatever worldview is fed to them via their propaganda fire hose and they’re never, ever, going to admit that the world is a big scary place full of hard problems that don’t have simple comforting solutions like “illegal brown people stealing all the jerbs” or “the tariff button will fix everything, trust me bro.”

    I assume most high profile maga figures are in this game for the money through influence, they are sort of the lower level leeches of the Trump system. They help keep Maga in line while making some money out of it. So my assumption is they stirred the pot hoping for some bribes and then got it and found a sorry excuse to pretend like they reunited.
