Online skeptics wondered if Mr. Miller had caught himself saying something he did not mean to. CNN says there was a technical glitch.

If the blue states all stop cooperating and contributing to federal taxes, they would be able to fund themselves. But once too many of the red states started to collapse from funding shortfalls we’d probably be in civil war 2 territory.

A blue state that stopped businesses from paying taxes would be considered in insurrection, allowing military take over, which is what they want to happen so they can remove blue state governors by force.

They can just lie and claim there is an insurrection, they don’t need an excuse. That’s what they’re doing to Portland and Chicago, there are colonial occupation troops being deployed to peaceful cities that follow all federal laws and pay all their taxes.

Might as well give them something to cry about

Yeah, and it’s not like the Republicans have all the guns, left leaning people just don’t make it their identity.

Maybe not if it’s done in compliance with a federal injunction with a slow-walked appeal process to prevent SCOTUS interference.

Regardless, admin’s shown willingness to depose blue state governors with absolutely no legal basis whatsoever, so I’m not sure it’s avoidable, and by standing their ground they would at the very least avoid ceding an inch without securing yet another instance of illegal administrative overstep on the books.
